Ahsan Bari Music Launches MUKALMA





Ahsan Bari Music presented “Mukalama” with Chand Tara Orchestra (CTO) on Friday 21 June 2019 at MAD school. The room was full with musicians, music enthusiasts and people who are looking for different forms of entertainment in the city.

In the debut episode of mukalma the conversation evolved around on Sufism and its influence in our Pakistani music. In response to a question how Sufi music is preferred as compared to bhajan or kirtan CTO elaborated that, “Sufi kalam (literature) has a very powerful connection and has multidimensional outcome. There is something special about Sufi music. Sufi’s believe in love and nothingness.”

On the occasion, Ahsan Bari said,

“such creative activities are always a result of powerful collaborations, 

a big thanks to CTO Team, Sharjeel O Neil, Umair, Ali Diwan, Azfar Hasan, Munib Nawaz and Moiz Kazmi of MK Digital for your input and participation.”
The premise of Mukalama is to have engaging conversations on different genres of music, performing arts and its impact on everyday life.

Every episode will have guests who are legends of our country and the youth who are making waves with their innovative ways to capture the young audience.

Mukalama is a brainchild of Ahsan Bari who’s known for his creative experimentations in the music industry.


About Ahsan Bari

A graduate in Music with a Major in North Indian Classical Vocals, Ahsan Bari is an artist of great expertise in various areas of music. Ahsan began his professional career as a vocalist for a rock band named ‘Gravity’, and since then he has had the pleasure of performing among some of the most renowned and mainstream artists of Pakistan.

His keen interest lies in studying the intense relationship of music with the universe.
