Opening and Review of Bait-al-Mandi, Karachi

On Friday I was invited to the Grand opening of Bait-al-Mand (IG: @baitalmandi_pk). The ambiance was very aesthetic and photogenic, with beautifully designed lattice partitions, pleasing lighting and a plush carpet.

Coming to the food there was Mandi, Haneeth, Madfoon and another dish. Haneeth was lamb and the meat was succulent and tasty. I tasted the Mandi and madfoon? which were good. There was also an absolutely amazing rocket salad with a pomegranate vinaigrette as well as hummus which I loved because of the oily taste.

There was salsa or chatni of mint which was spicy and oh so tasty and later on the request of @ireesham we got to taste two more salsas, one with cheese and chilis, another with tomato.

We also got a briefing from Adnan Hisham. He told us that all the chickens are 900 grams and all the goats/lambs are 5kg and that they are cooked for 6 hours till the meat is succulent. He also told us that

they grow their own rice and use it in the restaurant. In fact, the best thing of all was the rice which was so so tasty!
