The InBetween, My First Impression of new TV Show & Trailer
There is a new ghost whisperer in town and while I don't think she can replace the most iconic "Ghost Whisperer", Jennifer Love, she did very well on her first appearance in new TV Series "The InBetween".
I have a scale to judge a TV series and that is based on 3 episodes. I don't cement my impression of a show before that. So episode 1, not a wow-worthy start but a good above average first step in. A big yes.
She is fun, her team is good. Looks like she is going to be haunted by a new ghost every week or every few episodes. The series is instant attention grabber to me.
Besides that, I am a sucker of supernatural+ghost+detective type shows and we have all in one in this package, with good performances.
What another thing I like about this show that unlike other alike stories, this one is open. She is not open about her abilities, but then there are people who know what she is capable of doing and are very supportive. Even the new ones, with all the doubts seeded in his head at first meeting, he is more receptive than to just flat out calling her a poser.
Cassie Bishop was born with a gift - though she may call it a curse. She can see and communicate with the dead, helping them with their unresolved problems... whether she likes it or not. When her longtime friend Detective Tom Hackett and his new partner, former FBI Agent Damien Asante, need help solving a darkly puzzling murder, Cassie agrees to use her abilities. Despite her reluctance, she may have found a way to keep her demons at bay, all while solving some of the city’s most challenging cases. From Writer/Executive Producer Moira Kirland (“Castle,” “Madam Secretary”) comes this suspenseful new character-driven procedural drama
