Nokia with E6 jumps into New Shiny Shoes to outrun their own E72s

The golden era of Nokia Eseries is not going to end because of new trends in technology and new methods of operating mobile phones. Nokia seems to slow getting into these shiny new shoes but they show some positive progress in recent months. After Nokia E7, the release of Nokia E6 is a real treat to Nokia E71/E72 users around the world.

Front facing portrait full QWERTY keyboard now teaming up with touchscreen. The real estate of 2.46 inches screen is obviously not everyone's cup of tea nowadays but user base of this form is still huge. Without going into much technical information I will say one thing that this screen has the highest pixel density to time now, which means you can see smaller items much more clearly. (Personally I care less of this pixel density race.)

The Nokia Eseries is known for its supreme class build and Nokia with E6 is again sitting on top of it. Body is made out of metal where touchscreen is protected by Gorilla glass.
For those who are concern about using touchscreens due to fear of scratches; fear no more because Gorilla glass means you can throw almost any thing and it will not be scratched. When screen collects dust and grease from extent usage just wipe it off against your jeans or something.

Inside this metal baby Symbian^3's latest update Anna is kicking out of the box, which means improved look, better performance, better browser and improved navigation throughout the OS. The combination of smaller screen and ability of low energy consumption of Symbian stretch its battery life to more than 2 days with heavy uses. Imagine how good battery might be with the normal uses.

Nokia E6 Compared against several other E series devices and detailed, close handson. Must watch this one.

Usually high business class users are associated to Eseries but in reality everyone who needs to deal with lengthy and fast text input and strongly built handset within slick look can use Nokia E6.

Things Nokia E6 is capable to do well
The best I can think of E6 is for one hand operation.

Personally I wouldn't call 2.46 inch screen a small as they prove to be right size for many users who’s priority are performing different tasks than an average entertainment user class, such as browsing and enjoying small video clips.

Nokia E6 can play full 720p video of usual video formats however the full movie may not give you as much pleasure as the larger screens but having Symbian 3 on board you can play any regular movie file without having to convert it, which is a plus for good time pass.

In short Nokia E6 can be a pretty good multimedia playback device too.

Surfing Internet now with control of d-pad and/or touchscreen would be much more comfortable and faster.

Document editing and handling large emails or text messages will be a blast, specially having physical portrait QWERTY. Not to forget all can be done single handed.

A large number of people are engaged to FaceBook and other social network and in my observation a huge huge number of those users join through their mobile phones. Having E6 means a great approach to deal with social network or FaceBook much easier and faster, while you do your other things. Thanks to true multi-tasking.
As always one of brilliantly done video reviews of Nokia E6 from PhoneArena

And a silent (but with signature music) UI walkthrough of Nokia E6 from GSMArena.

What true multi-tasking on mobiles has to offer
Since people are migrating from simple mobile phones to smartphones culture rapidly, the concept of using more than one application on mobile is new to many. If you happen to be one than good news for you that you can enjoy your FaceBook while checking your email or browsing your favorite website or even writing an official document.

In true multi-tasking user is not limited to one application at a time. Just to be clear that doing something while listening to music doesn’t count as multi-tasking. You can switch between applications you are working on without exiting from one. You can do a lot more of this with Nokia E6.

What else Nokia E6 holds for day to day users
Tons of free and paid business and entertainment applications utilities
Free (and paid) Entertaining Games
GPS for tracking Location
Good slick look and feel
Fast camera (with a slight limited functionality attached to it)
Great connectivity options

Who else should be trying out Nokia E6
In my opinion Journalists and field reporters in Pakistan should try Nokia E6. Its camera has its limitation in macro shots but it is fast and provides good quality images and videos. Also on E6 it is easier to write notes for reports, news or reviews.
